About the Insights Learning Forum

Digital transformation in Africa’s health sector is accelerating, yet persistent structural gaps continue to limit scale, sustainability, and equity. While innovation has increased, many initiatives remain fragmented, underfunded, or insufficiently integrated into public systems. To move from isolated solutions to coordinated impact, stronger collaboration, financing pathways, and data alignment are required. The Insights Learning Forum (ILF) serves as eHealth Africa’s flagship platform for convening governments, development partners, private sector actors, researchers, and implementers to exchange knowledge, align priorities, and catalyse action.
Building on momentum from previous editions, ILF 2026 is intentionally designed as an action-oriented convening that strengthens partnerships and produces measurable commitments across the digital health ecosystem.

eHealth Africa, Nigeria Health Watch Officially Launch Insights Learning Forum 2026 Report

Abuja, Nigeria – 28 August 2026 – eHealth Africa (eHA), in collaboration with Nigeria Health Watch, has launched the Insights Learning Forum (ILF) 2026 Report and Learning Brief, providing a record of key insights, discussions and commitments emerging from this year’s Forum and reinforcing a shared focus on turning conversations into measurable action.

The report captures the outcomes of the Insights Learning Forum (ILF) 2026, a high-level convening that brought together leaders and decision-makers from government, public health, technology, development, research and the private sector to address critical challenges facing Africa’s health systems and identify practical pathways for stronger collaboration, interoperability, sustainable investment and lasting impact.

Importantly, the report goes beyond documenting what was discussed at the Forum. It includes a dedicated Commitment Table tracking 11 public commitments made by partners at ILF 2026. The strategy is designed to ensure that commitments made publicly are followed beyond the event and remain visible to the wider health community.

ILF 2026 was grounded not only in ideas about what Africa’s health systems could become, but also in evidence of what is already working. Across the two-day Forum, participants examined practical examples of innovation, investment and collaboration already delivering results, alongside major new developments shaping the sector. These real-world experiences helped move discussions beyond theory, providing a foundation for conversations about what can be strengthened, connected and scaled across the continent.
